Balneoterapi: Malatya İspendere Şifalı Suyunun Tamamlayıcı Tedavide Kullanımının Turizm Kapsamında İncelenmesi

Abstract

Teknolojik gelişmeler, stresli iş ortamları, gıdalardaki bozulmalar ve artan kentleşme beraberinde insanlarda çeşitli ruhsal ve fiziksel hastalıkların ortaya çıkmasına neden olmuştur. Bazı durumlarda modern tıp tedavisinin yanı sıra tamamlayıcı tedaviye de ihtiyaç duyulmaya başlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda ülkemizde de son yıllarda sağlık turizm adı altında kullanılabilecek tamamlayıcı tedavi merkezleri Afyonkarahisar, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Denizli gibi destinasyonlarda belirlenmiş ve projeler ile sağlık turizmine kazandırılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu merkezlerden biri termal alan olarak balneoterapi amaçlı kullanılan Malatya İspendere şifalı su merkezidir. Çalışmanın amacı, İspendere şifalı suyunun kullanım potansiyelini inceleyerek hem hastaların tamamlayıcı tedavi amaçlı kullanmasını hem de bölge için alternatif bir gelir kaynağı olmasını sağlamaktır. Bu amaçla İspendere şifalı suyunun SWOT analizi gerçekleştirilmiş. Sonuçlara göre en önemli zayıf yönün tanıtım ve altyapı eksikliğinin olduğu, güçlü yönün ise şifalı suyun çok çeşitli hastalıklar için tamamlayıcı tedavide kullanılabilir olması söylenebilir. Son olarak bulgular temelinde uygulamaya yönelik önerilerde bulunulmuştur. Öncelikle şifalı suyun çevresi düzenlenmelidir, tanıtım yapılmalıdır ve uzun süreli tedaviler için konaklama imkanları arttırılmalıdır.

Technological developments, stressful work environments, deterioration in food and increasing urbanization led to the emergence of various mental and physical diseases in humans. In some cases, modern medical treatment as well as complementary therapy are needed. In this context, complementary treatment centers that can be used under the name of health tourism in our country in recent years have been determined in the destinations such as Afyonkarahisar, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Denizli and it started to be given important to health tourism with projects. One of these centers is Malatya İspendere healing water center, which is used as a thermal area for balneotherapy. The aim of the study is to examine the usage potential of İspendere healing water and to make it an alternative source of income for the region. For this purpose, SWOT analysis of İspendere healing water was performed. According to the results, it is possible to say that the most important weakness is the lack of promotion and infrastructure, and the strength is that the healing water can be used as a complementary treatment for a wide range of diseases. Finally, suggestions were made on the basis of the findings. First of all, the environment of healing water should be regulated, promotion should be made and accommodation facilities should be increased for long-term treatments.
