Tarihi Çevrede Eski Yeni Birlikteliğinin Öznel İzlenimler Üzerinden Değerlendirilmesi: Divanyolu Caddesi (Beyazıt-Sirkeci Aksı) Örneği

Abstract

Kentlilerin hafızasında izler oluşturan, farklı ölçeklerde sürekli değişim gösteren çevresel imgeler, kente ilişkin anlamlı bir bütünlük oluşturur. Bu imgeler bütünü, görsel algılama sürecinden geçerek kullanıcıların yapılı çevreye karşı öznel tepkiler vermelerini sağlar. Günlük yaşamda çevre deneyimine karşı oluşan bu davranış, kent yapılarına ilişkin belirli ölçütlerde anlamsal nitelendirmelere dönüşür. Bu çalışma, tarihi çevrede eski-yeni cephe imgeleri üzerinden, kullanıcıların öznel izlenimlerini değerlendirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Çalışma alanı olarak Divanyolu Caddesi Beyazıt-Sirkeci aksı belirlenmiştir. Bu doğrultuda aks üzerinde bulunan Bizans, Osmanlı ve Cumhuriyet dönemi ile son yirmi yıla ait yapıların cepheleri seçilmiştir. Toplam 15 yapının değerlendirildiği çalışmada, Krampen, Öztürk, Özek ve Saltık (1978)’nin kentsel çalışması örnek alınmış olup, anlamsal farklılaşma ölçeği kullanılarak 15 mimar, 15 mimar olmayan 30 deneğe sıfat çiftlerinden oluşturulan anket soruları yöneltilmiştir. Bu bağlamda estetik ve işlevsel betimleyici olarak nitelendirilen sıfat çiftleri ile öznel izlenimler elde edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen veriler, birlik, ölçek, değer, özgünlük, kütle ve doku başlıkları üzerinden değerlendirilerek çevrenin görünümüne yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

Environmental images that create traces in the memory of the citizens and constantly change at different scales form a meaningful integrity regarding the city. These images, through the process of visual perception, enable users to give subjective reactions to the built environment. This behavior against environmental experience in daily life turns into semantic qualifications in certain criteria related to urban structures. This study aims to evaluate subjective impressions of users through old-new facade images in the historical environment. Divanyolu Caddesi Beyazıt-Sirkeci axis was determined as the study area. In this direction, the facades of the Byzantine, Ottoman and Republican period and the last twenty years on the axle were selected. In the study, in which a total of 15 buildings were evaluated, the urban study of Krampen (1978) was taken as an example and questionnaire questions were formed from 15 architects and 15 non-architects 30 subjects using semantic differentiation scale. In this context, subjective impressions were obtained with the adjective pairs that are described as aesthetic and functional descriptors. The data obtained as a result of the study were evaluated on the basis of unity, scale, value, originality, mass and texture, and suggestions for the appearance of the environment were presented.
