Laktoperoksidaz enzimini inhibe eden maddelerin belirlenmesi için yapılan bazı çalışmaların incelenmesi ve enzimin uygulama alanlarının örneklendirilmesi

Abstract

Laktoperoksidaz (LPO; E.C. 1.11.1.7); 1940’lı yıllarda Theorell ve arkadaşları tarafından sütten izole edilmiştir ve daha sonraki yıllarda Morrison ve arkadaşları tarafından iyon değişim kromatografisi kullanılarak saflaştırılmıştır. Bu enzim peroksidaz ailesinin bir üyesi olan ve prostetik grup olarak hem grubu içeren bir glikoproteindir. Laktoperoksidaz, yeni doğanların sindirim sisteminden salgılanan patojenlere karşı antimikrobiyal etki gösteren bir oksidoredüktazdır. Bu enzim sütün yanı sıra tükürükte ve gözyaşında da bulunmaktadır. Laktoperoksidaz inhibitörlerinin belirlenmesi antibiyotik kullanımı durumunda enzimin nasıl etkileneceğinin yenidoğan sağlığı açısından önemi oldukça büyüktür. Burada derlenen çalışmalarda laktoperoksidazın inhibitörlerinin ve bu inhibitörlerin inhibisyon derecesinin belirlenmesi yenidoğanlarda antibiyotik kullanımı açısından referanslar içermektedir. Aynı zamanda enzimin aktivitesinin artıran maddelerin bilinmesi özellikle gıda ve ilaç endüstrilerinde kullanılması açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. This enzyme is a glycoprotein that is a member of the peroxidase family and contains the heme group as a prosthetic group. Lactoperoxidase is an oxidoreductase enzyme that exhibits antimicrobial action against pathogens secreted from the digestive tract of newborns. This enzyme is found in saliva and tears as well as in milk. The determination of lactoperoxidase inhibitors and how the enzyme will be affected in case of antibiotic use is very important for newborn health.
